The voice of the Lord

"The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty" Psalm 29:4

We often hear the phrase "the Lord spoke to me". This is right; this is good. You may have at one time or another heard the voice of the Lord, perhaps not audibly, (although some have and do) but, in some way, you know that the Lord has spoken to you. One of the great blessings we have as followers and disciples of Yeshua is that we can connect and communicate with the the Lord.

When you get a chance, think about that for a minute. Think about what a great and fantastic and incredible blessing it is to have the Lord speak to you! This voice of the Lord is the same that spoke the universe into existence! When we get into his presence, by being relationally receptive to him, we can hear him speak to us.

Do this. Spend a few minutes meditating on the majesty of the Lord. Spend a few minutes thanking the Lord for every blessing you can think of as fast as possible. Then slow down your breathing. Let everything else fall away for that moment, (except your focus on the blessings of the Lord). Then listen to the voice of the Lord. He wants to be with you. He wants you to hear his voice! It is powerful and full of majesty!
