Just when we were thinking life is heading towards normality, we aren't so sure with the pandemic continuing and restrictions increasing. Maybe this is a good week to take stock and remind ourselves exactly who we ultimately trust - our politicians or our G-d? You can see the daily Parasha and Bible reading plan for this week and here is the drash for Hukkat/Balak. Please pray for the network this week ... Ohev Yisrael are taking part in a fundraising marathon today, Brit Hadasha have a small in-person gathering on Thursday to record the Shabbat service for the whole congregation and Shomair Yistael have a Bat Mitzvah celebration on Shabbat. The Bible verse for this week is ... "He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God?" (Micah 6:8, NASB) A profound statemnet - partly because we can be apt to forge the fundamentals and partly because sometimes we make things too complicated! This week, let's remember that when we strip away everything else, it's about: acting justly, loving kindness and walking humbly with our G-d.
