Don't give up

This week we are half way through Counting the Omer and we finish reading Vayikra in the Torah cycle. You can see the daily Parasha and Bible reading plan for this week and here is the drash for B'har/B'Chukkotai.

Please pray for the network this week

Some of the congregations around the network are slowly being able to re-open buildings for in-person meetings, while others are still having to meet online or not at all. Please pray for wisdom for the leaders having to take these decisions about what is safe - and for all those congregants needing to decide what is safe for them.

The Bible verse for this week is ...

"So let us not grow weary of doing what is good; for if we don't give up, we will in due time reap the harvest. Therefore, as the opportunity arises, let us do what is good to everyone, and especially to the family of those who are trustingly faithful." (Galatians 6:9-10, CJB)

We are weeks into lockdown and we are all getting weary of the restrictions on our movements and the encroachments into normal life. But look at this exhortation in the Bible! So this week, let's take a deep breath and not grow weary in our faith, in doing what is good and in looking out for others.
