Nature has many lessons to teach us; one of them has to do with the butterfly coming out of its cocoon. There is a story about a little boy who noticed a cocoon and how the butterfly was working on coming out of it. In his innocence the little boy wanting to help, opened the cocoon saying to the butterfly, "Fly!" The butterfly was unable to fly since it's wings were not strong enough. The process of coming out of the cocoon is what prepares the butterfly for flight. Often this is the case with us, trials and testings are meant to strengthen us. They build us spiritually and physically. If our lesson is cut short we may not gain all that the Lord wants to teach us. Knowing this can be an encouragement to us when we are going through some of the less comfortable times in our walk with God. During those times let us remember the words of Romans 5:3-5, that we may be encouraged through the Word and the promises of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. This is taken from the Harvest of Asher Facebook page.
