Question of the day: What is the full understanding of John 19:30? Answer: John 19:30 "When Yeshua tasted the sour wine, He said, 'It is finished!' And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit." What is "IT?" The ministry of Yeshua on earth, this side of eternity? "IT" would be the selecting of 12 disciples and teaching them the principles of the kingdom of God. Yeshua ministered healing and even raised the dead so that we would believe He is able to heal us spiritually. The Greek word for "finished" is Teleo, meaning complete. There is another meaning, "paid for." Can you see where I'm going with this? When Yeshua said, "It is finished," He was saying, "I've paid the price." Yes, He paid the price for sin. By offering Himself as the one who knew no sin ... 2 Corinthians 5:21 "He made the One who knew no sin to become a sin offering on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God." Yes, His work is complete. And we are complete in Him. Shalom.
