This is how Seth Klayman begins his essay about Messianic Jewish worship and prayer: Once one of Yeshua's disciples approached him with a request: "Lord, teach us to pray." The request reveals the disciples' drive to learn from their rabbi. They wanted to understand the essence of prayer according to Yeshua, and to find out how, on a practical level, prayer should be expressed." (Chapter three, page 51) Do we ever ask the L-rd to teach us how to pray? Do we have a drive to learn from our Rabbi? And do we think we have found out how prayer should be expressed? Or are we all on a journey of exploration?
