What's my spiritual take-away today? It is simply this: Don't lose hope. Isaiah 40:31 "but they who wait for Adonai will renew their strength. They will soar up with wings as eagles. They will run, and not grow weary. They will walk, and not be faint." Which is it, wait or hope? The Hebrew word is Qavah from which we get Miqvah and Tiqvah and Miqaveh among others. Clearly this Shoresh (Quf-Vav-Hey) means "hope". What is hope? It is the expectation that God will fulfill all of His promises. That's why the Bible says there will come a time when we will not need hope, for all willbe fulfilled. Until then, though, we must hold fast to our hope. God has a destiny for each of us. We must hope (and make ourselves available) that His purposes will be accomplished in and through us. Hebrews 10:23 "Let us hold fast the unwavering confession of hope, for He who promised is faithful." Blesssings, Michael.
