What is success?

Question of the day: Consider this verse ... Genesis 39:2 "But Adonai was with Joseph. So he became a successful man in the house of his master, the Egyptian."

Question: What does it mean to become a success?

Answer: Success is not a destination. Success is a journey. Let me give you some examples. When we read our daily portion of Scripture, we have success in reading the Bible. Whenever we pass a test, we are a successful student. We don’t have to wait until graduation day to be considered successful.

We should celebrate our small successes; they will add up to big ones. Colossians 3:23-24 "Whatever you do, work at it from the soul, as for the Lord and not for people. For you know that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as a reward. It is to the Lord Messiah you are giving service."

Every time we do something for the Lord, we are successful servants of the Lord. Mathew 25:21 "His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You were faithful with a little, so I'll put you in charge of much. Enter into your master's joy!'"

Good one to keep in mind! Success is a journey.... Joseph was a success while he was a slave.
