Sacrifice of praise

In Psalm 50, God rails against sinners (many of whom He says, are quoting His words). These troubles are not resolved until the last verse of Psalm 50 which reads:

Psalm 50:23 "A sacrifice of praise honors Me, and to the one who orders his way, I will show the salvation of God."

What is a "sacrifice of praise"? It is a praise for God when things are not going well. When we are hurting. When we are downcast. When we are stressed. When we are wronged or abused. Then we are ready to offer God a sacrifice of praise.

The last question I want to ask is, "What does God mean when He says, 'to the one who orders his way?'" The Hebrew for "way" is derech, meaning road, highway or just simply way. The Hebrew doesn't really indicate "orders". The word used is "sim" meaning to place or put down.

I'm amazed at the variety of interpretations among the various translations of this verse. God is calling His people to lay their patterns of life before Him. To those who comply, God offers a revelation. Literally, the promise is to see (with our eyes) the salvation (Yeshua) of God.

This is our offering to the Lord: to be lead by our hearts into patterns of life that give glory to God. The blessing is that we will have additional revelation of Yeshua.
