Dealing with adversity

Question of the day: When Moses returns to Egypt, things get worse before they get better. This is something we were dealing with just a few days ago in the case of Joseph. How do we deal with adversity?

Answer: It is a recurring theme in Scripture. The children of Israel (as we will soon see) are set free only to appear trapped at the Red Sea. God wants us to rely on Him. He alone is our deliverer.

Every one of us has had this experience. It might be an issue at our place of employment, or with a family member, friend or neighbor, but in some way, we will be tested to the limit. Maybe it is competing demands like going to school while working or demands of work and family responsibilities.

In every situation we must learn to rely on God as our source of strength in time of trouble.

Psalm 28:6-7 "Blessed be Adonai, because He has heard the sound of my supplications. Adonai is my strength and my shield. My heart trusts in Him, and I was helped. Therefore my heart leaps for joy, and I will praise Him with my song."
