A Kingdom of priests

Question of the day: In today's reading of Exodus 19 we find this in the first part of verse 6 ... Exodus 19:6a. "So as for you, you will be to Me a kingdom of kohanim (priests) and a holy nation." Question: How do we obey God in this calling?

Answer: Priests stand between the porch and the altar (Joel 2:17). This is the position of intercession on behalf of the people.

Can you imagine a kingdom without a King? It's not incidental Yeshua died under a sign that read "King of the Jews" in 3 languages. Yeshua is our King and He is our Lord. We are intercessors seeking Tikkun Olam (restoration of the world).

What follows in Chapter 20 is the 10 Commandments. God is giving us an outline to obedience. Yeshua's command to the disciples, "Follow me." Let's do that!
