Psalm 121 starts with the verse, "I lift my eyes to the hills from where my help comes." Psalm 121 is the second of 15 Psalms of Ascent. These were Psalms sung by the priests along the steps as worshippers prepared themselves for the experience by climbing up to the Temple Mount. Something that happens to us in New Covenant faith is we learn WE are Temple (1Corinthians 3:16 and 2 Corinthians 6:16) and WE are the priests (Exodus 19:6). What was once exclusive in place and time and person is now, in Messiah Yeshua, universal. We (each of us) can approach God (symbolized by the tearing of the veil) today and where we are. We tend to lift our eyes for help when we are under stress. In closing, I offer this exhortation. Don't wait! Hear the words of Yeshuua. Luke 21:28: "Now when these things begin to happen, stand straight and lift up your heads, because your salvation is near!"
