Preserving & Disseminating God's Word

This is a Mitzvah that applies to all of G-d's people, whether Jew or Gentile.

This new priesthood has functions and responsibilities that overlap with those of the Jewish priesthood ...

So the Scriptures are in two sections - those that apply specifically to the Jewish people, and those that apply to all of G-d's people.
