The Kaddish

The basic structure of the kaddish is ancient. Yeshua Himself repeated the content of the first two lines of the kaddish when he taught His disciples to pray saying, "Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven" (Matt. 6:9-10 KJV). Yeshua's prayer is a modification, since the Kingdom was inaugurated with His coming and our prayer is a prayer for the present extension of it.
