Returning Lost Items to Their Owners

Well, that's quite clear, isn't it?

We are to return anything we find which was lost by another. If he is not near us or we do not know who he is, we are to keep it safe for him until he claims it.

This is a fairly short and compact Mitzvah, but it has a huge impact on our daily lives. The New Covenant Scriptures have something to say on the matter too.
