"Ministering to Jewish People" Conference
|
This week Patty and I will be ministering at a leadership conference for International Pentecostal Holiness Church on "Ministering to Jewish People". Founded in the 1890s, the International Pentecostal Holiness Church is a denomination that has been around for some years: We are a global movement of disciples of Jesus Christ in over 100 nations and in almost every state in the United States of America with over 1,800,000 members ... Because of our Wesleyan and Methodist roots, local congregations are part of larger entities that are usually called "conferences." Local congregations are led by pastors, and the conferences are led by a bishop. In a nation with several conferences, there is usually a presiding bishop over the entire national movement. Their heart is to "plant congregations and share the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with every person in the world" - you can read more about them here - so being able to share with them about ministering to Jewish People is an exciting opportunity. The conference runs from Monday to Wednesday, so do please pray for Patty and I as we minister and share.
