Shoresh David Update - Part Two
|
Yesterday and today I am sharing some of the regular, monthly events that currently make up community life here at Shoresh David ... Target Prayer developed during an inspired moment when I saw the Department chain's logo in my minds eye. This is a short scheduled time, usually the last Monday of the month where we seek to be more focused in articulating our needs and thanksgiving to G-d. We can say that it is efficient prayer. Recently we've incorporated the Jewish idea of scripted prayers, however, these are some of the great apostolic prayers of the New Covenant. As we pray these over one another with kavanah we experience breakthrough in various areas. As we know, if our prayers are inspired, we know that we will be successful. Our Communal Erev Shabbat meals take place during the second Friday of each month. A wonderful couple in our midst, Sam and Liza Lewis, had the heart and mind for this. Their hearts are for community and their lives are an example of this. They lead us in wonderful seasons of entering into His rest each month with beauty and style. Well, I hope you've enjoyed hearing what we are up to here - why not leave a comment to share what you are up to in your congregation?
