Right in the middle is Isaiah 50 verse 2, God asks a question, "(H)ave I no power to deliver?" While that question is taken slightly out of context, it is only slightly. To be "empowered by the Spirit" requires that we be delivered of something. To be "delivered of something" means leaving "something" behind. If we are not "leaving something behind," how can we enter the Kingdom of God? Ask God, right now, "What do You want me to leave behind?" Fill in the blank. Something just came to mind. Don't read on until something does. Then ask the question, "Is this You, Lord?" Then call upon Him, "Will You remove this from me; in doing so, please strengthen Your community?" Let's ask God to add something back. Lord, what would You add to me to strengthen Your community? Wait! Don't go forward without God's answers to these questions. He wants to answer us all. His arm is not short. 2 Corinthians 5:16-17: "Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh (the opposite of flesh is Spirit). Even though we have known Messiah according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer (He is risen). Therefore, if anyone is in Messiah, he is a new creation; old things have passed away (we are delivered from them); behold, all things have become new." NKJV
