Yeshua established the New Covenant. This is clear in Matthew 3-7, where He recapitulates the life of Moses and given the stipulations of a new covenant. Wright also points out Yeshua recapitulates the life of David as David's greater Son. As David, he is outside of the etsablishment and falsely persecuted, then is finally vindicated as King. The nature of this covenant only becomes clear in His death, resurrection, and ascension and the interpretation of these events by the rest of the New Testament writings. However, we see aspects of this New Covenant in other Gospel teachings. Key chapters are Matthew 13 and 16 and John 17. Jewish Roots, Chapter Two: Israel's Call and the New Testament
