Omer Devotional: Ultimate Blessing
|
Blessing is a theme that is continuous throughout Scripture. It is found in the first chapter of the first book of the Bible when God blesses Adam and Eve with the command to be fruitful and multiply. Blessing is also found in the last chapter of the last book of the Bible ... Revelation 22:14: "Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city." NKJV What city is being spoken of here? Later in the same chapter the same city is called "the holy city". What could it be, other than the same holy city spoken of in the previous chapter (Revelation 21), New Jerusalem. The ultimate blessing is to have citizenship, granted by God in Jerusalem which is from above, the mother of us all. This is only available through Yeshua who through His blood has reconciled us to God, restoring what was lost in Gan Eden. Copyright 2015 Shomair Yisrael Messianic Synagogue, All rights reserved.
