Nate Benjamin Coffee House at Beit Simcha

When Rabbi Matt Rosenberg shared a YouTube link of Nate Benjamin's Sacrifice of Worship (Take It All), it was music to my ears. I've been on the lookout for young musicians who can reach our Millennials with passion for the Lord. At the Messianic Leadership Roundtable, I heard Nate lead worship live and got his contact details to connect him with our coffeehouse coordinator Alessandro Babini.

The coffeehouse on January 31 was a blast! Nate brought a young drummer; lots of parents brought their youth; and Nate's music reaches across generations to lead us in praise and worship of our Messiah. Nearly 100 people came out - about half from outside our congregation. The following Shabbat our worship team introduced Sacrifice of Worship and 21-year-old Joy Kofchock led us in a passionate time of Spirit-led worship.

The Ruach has used music to reach across generations at least since David soothed Saul. We're looking forward to hosting more musical coffeehouses in our new synagogue; a "Mutual Blessings" concert series of major Messianic and Christian artists (we've booked Paul Wilbur) to help raise faith and funds for our project.
