A Challenge to Jewish Christians in Churches - Part One
|
Written in a style of a letter, this is an article by Daniel Juster addressing Jewish Christians in churches who may not know what the significance is of being Jewish. I wish that I could speak with so many of you in person. I am writing concerning your calling. Yes, you have a special calling. It is my hope that you will more and more understand this calling and find your destiny in it. Daniel Juster begins by sharing his story of coming to realise what being Jewish and having a Jewish calling could mean to him and explores what living as a Jew means. We can only be a wonderful part of that witness of God's promise to preserve us as a distinct people if we are living as part of that distinctiveness ... The addition to God's priesthood of people from all nations does not do away with his ancient priestly people. After discussing the intecessory meaning of Jewish life, the most natural question is to ask whether a Jewish Christian should leave the church they are attending to find a Messianic Jewish Congregation which will support and encourage their Jewish calling. Part Two will be posted tomorrow - and of course you can always go and read the article right now on the Tikkun America Resources Page.
