Loving Our Neighbor, the Stranger, and Even Our Enemy

While we may be familiar with Yeshua telling us that the second most important command is to "love our neighbour as ourselves", it can be a difficult thing to do.

The "love" alluded to in this Mitzvah N1 is not a love of feeling or emotion, but of doing for others what is best for them because we genuinely care about them. And why should we care about our neighbor, the stranger, and our enemy? It is because they, like we, are created by our Heavenly Father and we are, in that sense, brothers and sisters.

I list verses from the Torah, Proverbs, Gospels and the Letters and explore how loving our neighbours might differ from how we love enemy, before also explaining what is meant by heaping coals on fire on the heads of our enemies.
