The eight section of our book "Conveying a Heritage" covers the festival of Chanukah. What a great festival this is: lighting candles, playing games, spinning the dreidle and singing songs. The festival always falls in or at least touches the secular month of December and the children will love the food and the fun that goes with the feast. Tremendous dual lesson of perseverance and provision, together with the fight against assimilation that we have to fight every day of our lives as believers in Messiah. This practice may have been seen as a symbol of Yeshua who lights our lamps by giving us the Holy Spirit. An excellent opportunity for inviting other families round to share the festival with you - the only downside for adults is that you really can't eat as much as you would like to of all the delicious but oily foods without putting on so muchweight! You can purchase the book here.
