Happy July

July the 4th today - a day of family and community celebrations! This is the first full week of July; summer is here and it's getting hot. As the weeks slip by, let us not lose heart in those plans we had made for finding time to relax this summer, to reach out to those who are isolated in our community and carve out more time for spiritual development. You can see the daily Parasha and Bible reading plan for this week and here is the drash for Mattot/Masa'ei.

Please pray for the network this week ...

Today Or Chaim are taking part in the 1Church Prayer Initiative and this afternoon Brit Hadasha hve their last session of the Enquirer's Class. On Thursday Beit Simcha have Bible Study and Shomair Yisrael a Worship Night with Shilo Ben Hod. On Friday evening Brit Hadasha a Rosh Chodesh Worship Service and on Shabbat morning Shomair Yisrael have guest speakers George and Rivkah Whitten.

The Bible verse for this week is ...

"Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded ... Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you." (James 4:8,10, NASB)

It can be hard to humble ourselves, but we have the promise that if we draw near to G-d He WILL draw near to us! This week, let us cleanse our hands and purify our hearts - and draw near to G-d.
