Obedience and light

In this week's parasha we read of Moshe not obeying G-d's command to speak to the rock to bring forth water - the result is that he will not enter the Promised Land. This is a warning for all of us to check whether we are following the L-rd's directions, because there are consequences if we disobey. You can see the daily Parasha and Bible reading plan for this week and here is the drash for Hukkat.

Please pray for the network this week ...

Beit Hallel have their monthly Men's Group and Sisterhood this afternoon and Brit Hadasha have the first of their Enquirer's Classes taking place this month. On Monday evening Shoresh David have Chavurah, on Tuesday evening Elim have a members' meeting to discuss new leadership roles and on Wednesday Adat Chaim have a Congregational Day of Prayer and Fasting, ending with a prayer meeting in the evening. On Shabbat Tikvat Israel have guest speaker Rabbi Matheus Zandona, Dan and Patty Juster are visiting Kingdom Living congregation and El Shaddai have Toldot homegroup in the evening.

The Bible verse for this week is ...

"But he who practices the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God." " (John 3:21, NASB)

The words of Yeshua are clear - if we love the darkness, then we are not walking with G-d, but if we are practicing the truth then we we welcome the light. This week, let us all be ready to step forward into the light so others might see that our deeds are "wrought in G-d"!
