Stay faithful

Question of the day: Genesis 24:23a "Whose daughter are you?"

Answer: When Eliezer asked this question to Rebekah, she told him about her earthly family. But Eliezer was on a mission to find a wife for Isaac. "A wife for the son of promise." Are you getting a feeling for where I might be going spiritually speaking? Every Shabbat we honor the women among us, praying that each one will be a Proverbs 31:10-31 woman. Then we pray over our children. The blessings over the girls is "May God make you like Sarah, Rebekah, Leah and Rachel."

All of us (both men and women) have a bride calling on our lives. Revelation 19:7-9 "Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready, She was given fine linen to wear, bright and clean! For the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the kedoshim. Then the angel tells me, 'Write: How fortunate are those who have been invited to the wedding banquet of the Lamb!' He also tells me, 'These are the true words of God.'"

This doesn't happen in a vacuum? The bride must make herself ready. How? Complete Abraham's assignment. Genesis 17:1 "When Abram was 99 years old, Adonai appeared to Abram, and He said to him, 'I am El Shaddai. Continually walk before Me and you will be blameless.'"

Although this is in Genesis, it is not just for Old Testament saints. Romans 8:3-4 "For what was impossible for the Torah - since it was weakened on account of the flesh - God has done. Sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as a sin offering, He condemned sin in the flesh -- so that the requirement of the Torah might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Ruach."

"So that the righteous requirement of the Torah might be fulfilled in us." There you have it. Walk, follow, no ... run after Yeshua and stay close. Especially in these days. Hebrews 12:1-2 "Therefore, since we have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also get rid of every weight and entangling sin. Let us run with endurance the race set before us, focusing on Yeshua, the initiator and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame; and He has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of God. The invitation to join Him there is open, choose to be chosen."
