The continuity of life

With the death of Sarah, the marriage of Isaac and the birth of Jacob and Esau, this week's Torah portion is a reminder of the continuity of life! You can see the daily Parasha and Bible reading plan for this week and here is the drash for Khayiy Sarah.

It's a busy week this week. Adat Chaim have an Emerging Leaders Group this evening and Beit Hallel have separate Sisterhood and Men's meeting this afternoon. During the week Torah studies, youth meetings and Bible studies are taking place. Elim congregation have Roeh Todd and Pastor Deborah from El Shaddai ministering to them over Shabbat.

The Bible verse for this week is ...

"And he would answer and say to them, 'Let the man who has two tunics share with him who has none; and let him who has food do likewise.'" (Luke 3:11, NASB)

These words of John ring down the ages and remain a challenge for us today - this week, let us rise to this and go forth in our lives to share our bounty and blessings with others.
