Trusting in the Little - Part Two
|
This was what caused the people to sell their daughters into slavery to cover their debts until Nehemiah came and released all debt. This is exactly the situation we all too often find ourselves in today, not only in Israel. It would be nice if someone would come today and forgive our loans and release us from our debts. Then again, is that really what we need? "'The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,' says the L-rd of hosts." Haggai 2:8 The L-rd can take the little we have and multiply it. He is G-d of multiplication. However, it is problematic when we find ourselves trying to protect the little we have and so become slaves to it. We are actually commanded to build the temple, but He wants to dwell in us, we are the temple. When he dwells in us we can see the change in the attitude of our heart. We are capable of dealing with the little he has provided which takes us out of our captivity. When Yeshua referred to the three days, He saw the temple in front of him and the people trusting in money behind him. His view at that moment was that we should not put our trust in silver and gold but in He who dwells inside of us. Yeshua is our Nehemiah, our provider in the midst of every area of need in our lives. This is taken from the Harvest of Asher Facebook page.
