The Salvation of Israel

Question of the day: Can you guess what inspired me as I read Isaiah 45 today?

Answer: Isaiah 45:17 "Israel has been saved by Adonai with an everlasting salvation. You will not be put to shame or disgraced, for ever and ever."

The Bible has the unique ability to transcend time and speak of things that have not yet come to pass as if they were already passed. This is one example. Isaiah prophecies what has not yet happened (Israel's salvation) as if it is already done. Then there is this irrevocable promise from God…

Isaiah 45:23 "By Myself I have sworn - the word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness, and is irrevocable: that to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear."

We like to quote this verse, but how often to we connect it in its original context to the salvation of Israel?

Isaiah 45:25 "In Adonai all the seed of Israel will be justified and give praise."

Please pray right now for the salvation of Israel which is in agreement with the prophet Isaiah (and all the other prophets).
