Inspiration from Micah

What does the focus of a believer need to be, especially in times of trouble? I believe that we are living in the end times and that we will soon be at war.

Here in Israel we are nearing elections and although we should be praying for our government, while watching the news I cannot help but look at the heart of the people here in the land. I am not just talking about Jews but all the people in the land. What is our heartbeat, our consciousness; those things that we are aware of and what is our direction?

A compass points south and is pulled there by the magnetic field. In life there are many magnetic fields which draw our hearts. If Yeshua is our compass then our hearts will be draw to God's direction. We were born to worship God and without Yeshua we will be confused and our hearts will be in the wrong place without direction.

Micah 4 speaks of a Kingdom to come, a place where we should be focused, the mountain of the Lord's house. Until the day when that heavenly kingdom comes, we are operating according to the kingdoms or governments of this world. Everything is leading us to the final war and the time when Yeshua will once again stand here in the land in defense of Israel. Whether we want it or not and whether we are ready for it or not, His plan will come to pass. Our compass must be toward Yeshua the King of Israel. We cannot afford to be focused on the leaders of this world. The elected ones or the dictators, as well as those who have control due to their bloodline such as Kings, Queens and Emperors.

Only if we are filled with God's love will we have peace in the midst of turmoil. When we are filled with His love we will find ourselves resting and not rushing towards one thing or from another thing, good or bad. When all mankind is filled with the love of God and have Yeshua in our hearts; we can be at peace with one another. That is love which allows us to honor the lives of one another. His is the love which separates mankind from our selfishness.

Rather than walking in the name of the gods of this world we will walk in the name of the Lord our God. Micah 4:5 With Yeshua as our compass, our hearts will be drawn to the mountain of the Lord. Here is where we will find the love and grace of God.
