There is more

Question of the day: How amazing is Genesis 41?

Answer: One day Joseph is sitting in jail (a very unpleasant existence in those days) when he is snatched up, cleaned up, and brought up to Pharaoh.

Joseph was the lowest of the low. How low was he? Servants (who were not prisoners) would look down on him. That same day, by a great miracle of God, he is elevated to the highest ruler in Egypt, second+only to Pharaoh himself.

We see an amazing turn of events. This is necessary so God could fulfill His promises to Joseph. Why do we care? The same God who lifted Joseph will lift you as well.

Hear the word of the Lord ...

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans that I have in mind for you, declares Adonai, plans for shalom and not calamity - to give you a future and a hope."

But why stop there? Read on ... Jeremiah 29:12-14 "Then you will call on Me, and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me, when you will search for Me with all your heart. Then I will be found by you, says Adonai, and I will return you from exile, and gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says Adonai, and I will bring you back to the place from which I removed you as captives into exile."

All of us live in (what is called in Hebrew) the Galut. It means the diaspora. Most people think of Jewish people living outside the land of Israel in the diaspora, but there is a deeper reality. Yeshua is the reality of all things. He is also the reality of the diaspora.

We are all living in this world. Satan is the prince of this world. But don't dispair. 1 John 4:4b "greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world." He who is in you gets the capital "H", while he who is in the world gets the little "h".

We all have a future when the Galut will be removed and we will be eternally with the Lord.

1 Peter 5:10 "After you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace - who has called you into His eternal glory in Messiah - will Himself restore, support, strengthen, and establish you."

1 John 2:17 "The world is passing away along with its desire, but the one who does the will of God abides forever."

Be encouraged. You know this is not all there is, so don't live like it is.
