The twelve spies

Question of the day: Why is the story of the 12 spies even in the Bible?

Answer: Such a question. God Almighty knows the end from the beginning. So He knew the 10 would come back with a bad report. He sent them to spy out the land, but why? He already knew it was a good land flowing with milk and honey. How else could God have promised the promised land?

Back to our question. If God already knew, why did He send the spies? The obvious answer is "For our benefit."

"Now these things happened to them as an example, and it was written down as a warning to us--on whom the ends of the age have come." 1 Corinthians 10:11 TLV

Next question, "What's the warning to us?" I have to make this short, because I'm out of time. How about we be warned to believe God and to believe that ... "I can do all things through Messiah who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13 TLV

Shalom, R. Michael
