We are thankful

Before we begin the devotional for today, let me acknowledge I'm quoting the TLV (Tree of Life Version, written by Messianics for Messianics). https://www.tlvbiblesociety.org/

In Hebrew, Sunday is known as Yom Rishon (first day). As we mentioned last Sunday, creation began on a Sunday. Also, THE resurrection of Yeshua took place on a Sunday. Life from the dead is also a creation (of sorts). An important distinction for us as believers in Messiah Yeshua is worship of the CREATOR. Much of the rest of the world worships the creation itself.

But we are not seduced by the creation. We are, however; enamored with the creator. He alone is the great I AM, before whom the twenty-four elders fell on their faces and worshipped, saying ... Revelation 11:17 "We thank you, Adonai Elohei-Tzva'ot, who is and who was, because You have taken Your great power and begun to reign."

The 24 elders are 12 Apostles and 12 Sons of Israel (B'nai Yisrael), 12 from the Tanach and 12 from the Brit Chadasha. We have a destiny to join them in worshiping the Lord.

Ephesians 2:20-22 "You have been built on the foundation made up of the emissaries and prophets, with Messiah Yeshua Himself being the cornerstone. In Him the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple for the Lord. In Him, you also are being built together into God's dwelling place in the Ruach."

That's something for which to be thankful. Have a great week.
