Sukkot

Sukkot - The Torah tells us that "the festival of Sukkot shall be to you for seven days when you gather from your threshing floors and your wine cellar. You shall rejoice in your festival ... for the Almighty will bless you in all of your produce and in all of the work of your hand and you shall be completely joyous" (D'varim 16:13-15).

Known by the rabbis as z'man simchatenu - the time of our rejoicing - this is a time to rejoice together in the sukkah and proclaim not only what G-d has done in the past, but what He is going to do in the future. Jew and Gentile together in the sukkah is a prophetic picture of the One New Man - secure in our calling and identity, yet working together as the body of Messiah. Without either the Jew or the Gentile, the miracle cannot be seen!

This Sukkot, make sure that you have invited both Jews and Gentiles to share your sukkah with you and that you have visited others so that the miracle is proclaimed in all our homes and neighbourhoods.
