Psalm 128 - God has reserved a place for us who fear Him

Psalm 128:3-4 "Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine in the very heart of your house, your children like olive plants all around your table. Behold, thus shall the man be blessed who fears the Lord." NKJV

This requires meditation. My wife will be like a fruitful vine (in the back of the house). I guess that's complimentary. My children are like olive plants surrounding my table. That's better. In verse 4, this is a blessing that applies to the one who fears the Lord.

Let's try another perspective (and this happens in Scripture a lot). What if these verses have become prophetic toward Yeshua? His wife (the bride of Messiah) will be like a fruitful vine. (Are we not grafted in?) In the heart of His house. (You are the temple.) His children (you and I) are like olive plants. (Bearing fruit in season. When pressed, out comes the oil.) Are we not seated at His table? (Ephesians 2:6)

This is the blessing that comes to those who fear the Lord. Amen.
