Prostitution

What does the Torah have to say about prostitution? Quite a lot actually ...

Whereas classically, the Mitzvah prohibiting prostitution alludes only to a man paying a woman to have sexual intercourse, this Mitzvah recognizes the wider prohibition against prostitution in the Bible, which is most often exemplified by Israel selling herself to heathenism through its sinful conduct.

Reading the texts carefully shows just many people and nations fall foul of this commandment today.
