Israel Trip Update

Four from Shomair Yisrael in Knoxville have returned from Israel. Four of us went from Shomair as part of a Fellowship Church/Shomair Yisrael service trip. This is a unique partnership among Messianic and non-Messianic (that may be the first time Fellowship has been described as "non-Messianic") believers in Yeshua traveling together to serve the believing community in Israel. Our partnership is now 6 years old and has sent approximately 15 teams to Israel.

For those of you who have been keeping in touch with Shomair regularly, you are aware we have been experiencing an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in a measure greater than at any previous time. This was true on our recently completed trip to Israel as well.

As at Shomair during our worship services, we are participating with the Holy Spirit, and are excited when the anointing falls. In Israel two such instances stand out on this trip. While we were praying at the Banyas (Caesarea Philippi - this is a great place to pray for the pulling down of strongholds) and during our communion service when we entered Jerusalem.

An important part of our vision at Shomair is to love and serve the Jewish believers in Israel. Our partnership with Fellowship Church has enabled us to increase our effectiveness in this critical area of ministry by a factor of 20.

Could Fellowship go to Israel without us? Certainly, but they have steadfastly refused to go without partnering with us, the local expression of believing Israel. We give thanks for this, and pray that many other congregations with capture God's heart on this important kingdom development reserved for the last days.

We further pray this will become a model for other Messianic Synagogues and Churches to partner for blessing the believers in the Land.
