The Ruth and Esther Keys

I was powerfully impacted by what David did when he brought Chinese Christians to Jersulam last year:

David responded by leading the entire international community represented there (including Chinese and Arabs) in a 'Ruth' covenantal vow to the Jewish people.

But what as the figure of Ruth got to do with the figure of Esther?

Esther may be seen as a symbol of the Church, the bride of Messiah. She is sharing intimacy, grace and beauty with her husband, the King. But then a crisis occurs. Esther is called to the kingdom 'for such a time as this'.

To find out what I am talking about, you can read my article here. Feel free to come back here and leave a comment to let me know what you think.
