Shoresh David Update - Part One

I want to share with you some of the regular events we have hear at Shoresh David in Munroeville, PA and some of the exciting things we are up to ...

We hold a Chavurah on the first and third Monday of each month. Our goal is to facilitate community through group discovery and experiencing the Lord Together. Our goal is not to gain more Bible information at this time. I feel we pretty much know enough. Our need is to apply what we already know and help people forward an action. A good topic draws on life not knowledge. I've encouraged folks to leave their Bible's at home (ha, ha)!

Yeshua was a great facilitator. He allowed for self-discovery as He came in the tradition of the great rabbis as a Magid (Storyteller). Theology is embedded in story. Yeshua knew that and His stories challenged people at the heart to move them to action.

Our running text is always Hebrews 10:24-25: Let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manor of some is, but encouraging one another.

All we do and say is to:

Stir each other up - draw out what's deep inside
Encourage mutual sharing
Make us care more (love one another)
Be encouraged; feel affirmed in when we leave

Come back tomorrow to hear about our other events!
