Thankful but Not Happy

While the children of Israel returning from the four corners of the earth to the Land is rather like a family reunion, dig deeper beneath the picture-perfect veneer and everything is not always what it should be.

While thankful to be with fellow Israelis they are not happy with the discrimination and racism that they have experienced in many pockets of society.

This sad part of our culture has been building for at least thirty years and this year some of it came to a head:

Volcanic anger and frustration erupted into violent demonstrations in early May when a video went viral.
