Tikkun International Update - Part Two

Yesterday I started explaing the exciting transition and change of direction of Tikkun International, by giving you some history. Today, I'm sharing what has been growing and changing in the last few months.

During a time of prayer in February of this year, Asher spoke a word that was strongly confirmed by the leadership in the Land.

It was a word to see Tikkun, the Hebrew word for restoration, become more prominent as the unifying term that ties us all together in the Land of Israel. Before this, only the names Tents of Mercy/Ohalei Rachamim and Revive Israel, represented our indigenous ministries in the Land.

As we processed this idea, it became more and more clear that a shift was taking place. In the past, Tikkun International represented the fact that we were sending many people from America to the nations of the world. However, this is no longer the case.

Indeed, we have become a foreshadowing of what the Bible describes, "The Torah shall go forth from Zion and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem." Our sending to the nations is now primarily from Israel, and our capital is Jerusalem. The three founders and senior governing leaders of Tikkun live in Israel, and most of our married children and their families are in Israel with us as well. We are sending many to the nations. On this basis we see that Tikkun International should be headquartered in Israel. So the 501(c)3 corporation based in America will now serve this Israel-based reality.

Tomorrow I will share more about some of the exciting changes that shift in focus will mean, so don't forget to come and have a read tomorrow!
