New beginnings

A lot is happening and I have been sharing some of how God is moving in an update from the Land.

It was an important moment in the life of our Congregation Ahavat Yeshua. Ariel and Vered, along with their two young children were leaving for a long term missions trip to China. For the first time our congregation was sending a family from Jerusalem to the nations for an extended period. We felt as if the Book of Acts was being relived before our eyes.

Ariel and Vered leaving has caused a huge hole in our congregation but we are confident that God will use their absence to draw others into deeper roles of leadership and responsibility.

For the past several years, our congregation Ahavat Yeshua has met in a wonderful facility in the industrial area of Jerusalem. Like all real estate in this city, the rent is very high and we have been splitting the payment with another congregation. About six months ago, the pastor of the other congregation told me that as of January 1st, they would no longer be able to pay their half.

I share the amazing opportunty this obstacle has opened and how God has provided for us in a way that was much better than what we had thought.

That's not all, for I reflect on the recent violance in Jerusalem and ask you to pray for a forthcoming event in a few days' time. You can read the update here on the Tikkun International website.
