Trees Clap their Hands

Have you ever seen a tree clap its hands? Well, at the festival of Sukkot, the Children of Israel are commanded to take four species of tree and wave them. Rather like the organs of the human body:

The willow leaf is shaped like the lips, instruments of prayer and praise.

You'll want to find out why the lulav and the etrog are so called, why they are assembled the way they are and just what to do with them. And, of course, just what Rabbi Mordechai had to do with them!

You can read my article here but do remember to let me know what you think!
