Being Humane in Our Dominion over God's Creatures

While this may seem a very foundational idea, it must not be taken for granted that we will go out of our way to look after G-d's creatures.

This Mitzvah M8 is derived from the Scriptures that teach (specifically or impliedly) that we must have humane compassion for the animals of God's creation.

We can use animals for our benefit - including slaughtering them for eating - but we are not permitted to abuse them. Although most of the Scriptures I reference have a clear context, I offer explanatory comments and share what the moral is for us all.
