The sacraments can both be a blessing and are a means of blessing God and others. Sacraments are ritual physical actions with words ordained by God fior the reception of special effective grace. I talk next about baptism and communion, perhaps the two most widely accepted sacraments, but also consider marriage, anointing and others as important markers and places or times of mutual blessing. The ordinary can be charged with the grace of God and be a means of conveying him to us. This is the blessing of life in God. Next, "God's Order of Being, The Kingdom of God", chapter 9.
