Yom Teruah

Also known as Rosh HaShanah, the fifth section of our book "Conveying a Heritage" is about the first in the series of special days in the autumn known as the Fall Feasts. Yom Teruah means literally, "The Day of Blowing", and it the day on which we blow and hear the shofar. It is aslo one of the 'New Moon' days.

The Jewish Calendar helps us to be conscious of God's goodness in maintaining the order of the universe. The moon if the reflected light that is over the evening ... like man in the image of God.

This section provides an overview of the symbols and prayers for celebrating YomTeruah and God's gift of not a new month, but a new year!

You can purchase the book here.
