Testing G-d's Promises and Warnings

G-d gives us many good promises and stern warnings. We are to look to Him to fulfill the promises in His time and make sure that we don't infringe and therefore invoke the warnings.

It is important that we don't intentionally act in such a way as to force His hand and provoke Him to prove what He says. At the same time, we look at texts where G-d wants us to follow His instructions for taking Him at His word.
