This week Dan and I are ministering in Brazil. We started out in Rio De Janeiro to be with Rabbi Eduardo where I was privileged to share the Friday night message and Dan spoke on Saturday morning. We were amazed at the joyous, worshipful participation of the congregants with the traditional Jewish liturgy. They have a very gifted worship leader who was able to weave Yeshua-centered worship in between the traditional worship from the Siddur (Jewish prayer book). It was perhaps the most upbeat Messianic Jewish liturgical service we ever experienced! I am always looking for a seamless garment of worship that goes back and forth from the ancient traditional material and New Covenantal material. I have always said that when the worship material brings life to the person leading the worship, it will convey life to the congregants. You can read our personal July newsletter in full here, but wouldn't it be good if all our congregations were able to worship and minister in this way and so lift out people into the presence of God.
