The command to declare the singularity of G-d, His unique unity or oneness, has long been Jewish tradition and halacha. Based, of course, upon the ancient liturgy known as the Sh'ma, to be uttered by a Jewish person at least five times each day - upon waking, during the three daily prayer services and before going to sleep - this has become one of the foundational pieces of spiritual DNA that define who we are as a people. As a command, it remains incumbent upon all Jewish people today. Mitzvah G3
